No, full recovers are not offered. However, for "M" style cabinets, grill cloth change-out, cabinet repairs/upgrades are available if within driving range. Speaker swap out also available. Contact us with any questions you may have.
Will you build me a "BOGNUR" or "MARSHELL" replica/copy?
No. We have our own proven guitar speaker cabinet designs and build techniques, and do not copy others. The ONLY cabinets we copy are Marshall head shells from the JMP Plexi & JMP Master Volume eras.
Can I order my cabinet built to slightly different dimensions?
Not at this time.
What type of birch is used on your cabs?
Every StoneAge cabinet is built using premium grade Baltic birch void-less ply manufactured in Russia or Finland (all plies are birch). "Baltic birch is a plywood product native to the northeastern region of Europe around the Baltic Sea, and is uniformly constructed with equal thickness veneers entirely of birch". NO StoneAge Cabinets are built using cheaper inferior grade "standard birch plywood" where the inner layers / plies can be MDF, particle board, or another type of core.
Why is shipping so expensive?
1) All StoneAge Cabinets are packed extremely well. Our cartons are manufactured locally to our specs. This allows enough room inside the box to allow for much needed internal foam protection. The upside-your cabinet is much more likely to successfully survive a cross country trip, or to a neighboring State. The downside-packing materials are very costly, and, our final carton dimensions are larger than most.
2) Carriers raise rates every year. Effective January 2024 there will be increases in the following categories: transportation charges, base rate, fuel (and fuel surcharges) residential surcharge, additional handling & declared value.
4x12B SHIPPING: 2024 costs for lower 48 shipping a PROPERLY PACKED 412 (loaded OR unloaded) have skyrocketed. In addition to the usual transportation base rate (and all of those associated charges), the following SURCHARGES apply and are currently in effect and vary depending on your location:
1-OVERSIZE X3 carton + $190.00 - $240.00 !!
2-"DEMAND" Oversize + $73.00
3- Fuel + $71.00
Will you ship outside the USA?
Yes, in some instances, but it is very expensive. In most cases, we ship ONLY to the Airport nearest you, then, you will be responsible for any and all additional fees: import/customs/broker etc and transportation to you. All quoted international pricing is to your airport only. Contact us for a rate quote.
**ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS WILL HAVE THE FULL VALUE DECLARED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL WE "DEVALUE" AN INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT SO AS TO SAVE CUSTOMS FEES. PLEASE DO NOT ASK**
